Memorial Day weekend is here! Summer in Avila Beach, California is just about to kick off. Because there is a lot of stuff and big events going on over the next few days, we wanted to put something together to help guide you to a perfect Avila weekend! Friday, May 25th
Fish & Farmers Market
Downtown Promenade 4pm – 8pm
All the vendors will be out on the promenade selling food, fish, produce, treats, snacks, gifts and more! Dave Aguallo is a local favorite and will be playing live in front of Mr Ricks! Click here for more information
Avila Beach Party
Avila Beach Golf Resort 5pm-10pm
The Cataracs – Shwayze – Outasight – Starting Six – DJ Hi-Tem will be preforming at the Avila Beach Party! All Ages Event – Doors open at 5pm – No outside food or drink. Tickets are $27.50
DEV has a family member going into surgery on Friday, May 25th and will no longer be performing at our Avila Beach Party.

Tequila Festival
Avila Beach Golf Resort Noon-4pm
Now the the beer fest has moved down the street to SLO, the FIRST annual tequila festival is born from the ashes. There will be lots of great live music from Rey Fresco, Dan Curcio, and Ozomatli! Tickets are $45
Free shuttles from McCarthy’s Pub in SLO and Outlets in Pismo Beach.

Art on the Beach
Downtown Avila Beach Promenade
It’s back! Today marks the first Art on the Beach for 2012! view and purchase a lot of great art, meet the artists, and even see some of them painting beautiful Avila Beach!
Blues Festival
Avila Beach Golf Resort 2pm-6:30pm
The 19th annual Avila Beach Blues Festival features Doobie Brothers, Tower of Power and Taj Mahal and is sure to be another amazing show! The show starts at 2pm and the gates open at noon. No outside food or drink. Tickets are $40 and are now SOLD OUT. For those of you who still want tickets, there will be some limited door sales so arive early.

Other new and exciting stuff around Avila
- Stand Up Paddle boards (SUP) - Effective immediately the Harbor Patrol will enforcing the law that all SUP riders are required to have a PFD (Personal Floatation Device) on board the craft at all times. All children under the age of 13 need to wear it. You can read more about it here or rent them here
- Inn at Avila Beach – The Inn at Avila Beach has a new website and a live beach cam on top of the hotel! You can view it here
- Cuvée Champagne Bar - Now has full time chef cooking fantastic meals to go along with all their delicious drinks!
- Pete’s Pierside Cafe & Fish Market – New extended hours (Mon – Friday 9am – 8pm and Sat & Sun 9am – 9pm) Also now serving breakfast 7 days a week!
- Avila Valley Barn – Now has pony rides! Ride hours for this weekend are Friday 11-2 and Sat-Mon 11-2, 3-5
- The Sea Life Center – Special Hours: Sat, Sun, & Mon from 10-4 with a focus on marine mammals.
- Beach Trolley – The Avila beach trolley has a new summer schedule and is going to start running Thursdays – Sundays till Labor day. Also has stops in Pismo beach and the Pismo Outlets. Perfect way to not have to deal with parking this weekend!
- Nekkidd Boutique – Is having a huge store wide sale and also giving and extra 10% for their Facebook fans. Go join up!
- Mr Ricks – Has THREE new beers on tap just in time for this weekend! Ballast Point Sculpin IPA, Sierra Nevada Kellerweis, and Deschutes Brewing Obsidian Nitro Stout
- Avila Bay Athletic Club & Spa – Is kicking off their 2012 Happy Hour on Friday, May 25, from 6-8. Free admittance and open to the public. Features the sounds of ROUGH HOUSE and the wines of Donati Family Winery.
