Tomorrow is the start of the 20th SLO Vintners Rockin’ Harvest Celebration. This event happens every year on the Central Coast and is celebration of wine makers and wine drinkers. It allows you to Party Like A Rock Star with the Winemakers! The events start on Fri, Nov 5 and end on Sun, Nov 7, 2010 at various locations.
To get all the info on the events and how to get tickets, make sure to check out the SLO Vintners website at www.SLOWine.com or keep up on all the news on their facebook page. Check out some events that take place in Avila Beach and the Central Coast of California.
Friday, Nov 5th 2010 – Winery Dinners
You can pick from 14 different wineries and locations serving up some awesome food and wine combination. Salisbury Vineyards in Avila Beach is one of the locations. Dinner and wine for drinkers is $50, while dinner for non drinkers is $30. Live music by Tipsy Gypsies, paired with delicious creations by Vrajas Kitchen. Check out this page for all the info
Saturday, Nov 6th 2010 – Grand Tasting with Live & Silent Auction
So many fun things happening all at the Avila Beach Golf Resort. So many wineries and local restaurants participating it is bound to be an awesome time. The main event is from noon-3pm but there are many other events so make sure to check out this website for more info
Sunday, Nov 7th 2010 – Open Houses
On Sunday you have the chance to visit the SLO Vintners wineries and tasting rooms for more wine, tours, tastings, and special discounts. Meet and mingle with the people who make the wine.

The holidays are coming up fast! When I launched the new website this summer, I added a new feature. I can decorate the website in different themes and it will automatically change depending on the date and time that you view the site. So for example as of yesterday our website www.AvilaBeachPier.com got some Halloween decorations on it and they will be removed the morning after Halloween.
I am currently working on themes for Thanksgiving and Christmas and have plans for many others. My goal down the road is to have many themes for holidays, events and even the weather. In the future I want you to look at our website and already feel apart of Avila Beach… Because I know you are just going to LOVE it!

Every year the Concours d’Elegance takes over the Central Coast with some of the worlds most amazing cars. This years events will take place October 21-24th, 2010. Hey wait, that’s THIS WEEKEND! Beach Bash – Sat, 23 Oct, 2010 (4 pm -8 pm)
NEW FEATURE THIS YEAR! The 2010 ‘Beach Bash’ at the Avila Beach Golf Resort will feature international food stations, fabulous wines, an even better silent auction and some car-appropriate entertainment as well as live music and dancing! Family Car Show – Sun, 24 Oct, 2010 (11am – 3pm)
The Avila Beach Concours d’Elegance 2010 will be held once again on the beautiful Avila Beach Golf Course. The field will be filled with gorgeous Automobiles overlooking the ocean. You won’t want to miss this family affair with views of the ocean, vendors, gourmet food and wine, and of course the cars! Tickets are $10 minimum donation, children 12 and under free! With these big events on Saturday and Sunday and Seafare on Friday (See post below) it’s bound to be a great weekend at the BEACH! We will see you out here!

Summer is over and a lot of the big activities have passed for this year and the planning for them next year has already began. However there is one event that happens in Oct that you can’t miss!
It’s HERE! Seafare is coming back to the Avila Beach Golf Resort again this Friday (Oct 22nd, 2010) from 5:30-9pm. If you have never been before, this year is the year to go! Imagine getting all dressed up and going to a fancy dinner but instead of having to pick one restaurant you will have over 20 local restaurants and over 25 local wineries serving up all the fresh seafood and fine wines to satiate your taste buds.
Some of the restaurants partisipating are, Ciopinot, Olde Port Inn, Gardens of Avila, Cornerview, Mee Heng Low, Olde Port Fish, Pete’s Pierside Cafe, Marisol, and many more!
Some of the wineries and breweries participating are, Claiborne & Churchill, Silveroak, Sonoma Cutrer, Cakebread, Gainey, Foley, Talley, Tolosa, Kynsi, Laetitia, EOS Estate, Jordan, and many more!
This years event is going to be the biggest ever. Live music, fine gifts, raffle, and a silent auction. Many of the local businesses donate for this event so there is a lot of great prizes!
And the best part is that all proceeds benefit the Avila Beach Sea Life Center. The Sea Life Center is a nonprofit corporation that is dedicated to teaching kids, adults, and eductators all about Marine Science and our oceans. You can find more information on their website at www.SeaLifeCenter.org
Tickets are $75 per person and include all the food and wine your heart desires and a cool souvenir wine glass.
The event takes place under the large events tent on the beautiful Avila Beach Golf Resort so it will happen rain or shine!
