You are Here: Home > EnjoyAvilaBeach.com Photo Contest 2012 Official Rules for the 2012 Avila Beach Photo Contest THE CONTEST The AvilaBeachPier.com 2012 Photo Contest starts on June 5th, 2012 at 17:00 PST and ends on July 9th, 2012 at 23:59 PST and has two different periods for submitting photos and voting on them. By submitting an entry or participating in our contest, you agree to follow the rules of the contest and hold harmless the AvilaBeachPier.com team from any lawsuits you create from not following ANY of the rules below. SUBMISSIONS PERIOD WHO CAN ENTER Anyone in the USA that is 18 years or older (at the start of the contest) and is not part of the AvilaBeachPier.com team or an Avila businesses that is participating in our contest. We reserve the right to determine eligibility and remove anyone from the contest at anytime without notice. Note: You must be 21 or older to receive any part of the wine tasting prizes. WHAT TYPE OF PICTURES TO ENTER The picture can be of anything you love about Avila Beach, California and must meet ALL of these criteria…
HOW TO ENTER Entering the contest is easy and there is no purchase necessary. Find your favorite picture taken around Avila Beach and head here. HOW MANY TIMES YOU CAN ENTER You can only enter one photo in our contest. Multiple entries will result in all your photos being disqualified. YOUR PHOTO’S OWNERSHIP All photos you submit must be your original work. You will still retain ownership rights to your photo but by submitting it you grant the AvilaBeachPier.com team an unlimited, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, nonexclusive right and license to use, reproduce, publish, modify, perform and display the image on any of websites and marketing or advertising of any kind. We will never pay you any compensation or make any promises to use it. Winners must agree to sign a release. YOUR INFORMATION We are not going to sell your information or give it to anyone. You privacy is extremely important to us! You can read all about our privacy policy here. THE PRIZES The prizes were donated to us by the local businesses that are participating in our 2012 photo contest. For a list of businesses, just look at the prizes below. The winners of the prizes are still responsible with making reservations (when needed) to the businesses to claim their prizes. AvilaBeachPier.com is not responsible for businesses not being able to accommodate their gift certificate for a specific date. We also reserve the right to substitute any of the prizes for an equal value item. Only one prize will be rewarded per person. GRAND PRIZE – “Weekend at the beach” Approximate Value $750 One grand prize winner (The photo with the most votes as of 00:01 PST on July 10th, 2012) will win gift certificates to the following places...
SECOND PLACE - “Day at the Beach” Approximate Value $150 One second place winner (The second photo with the most votes as of 00:01 PST on July 10th, 2012) will win gift certificates to the following places...
OTHER PRIZES We currently have two special prizes that will be given away by our team’s picks. These are not part of the voting and will be given away at our sole discretion. Winners will be emailed and then announced on July 10th, 2012 12:00 PST along with the other prizes. We might add a last minute prize or two into this category at anytime during the contest.
This contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law. AvilaBeachPier.com reserves the right to cancel the contest or modify these rules at its discretion. All decisions of the AvilaBeachPier.com Team will be final. This contest is being thrown by the AvilaBeachPier.com Team and has no partners. While we might make posts about the contest on social media, we are in NO WAY affiliated with Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and others. Winners will be responsible for paying any taxes they may owe on the prize. We are not responsible for your travel and fees to Avila Beach and can’t be held accountable for reservation issues or problems that arise from anything outside out control.
