The historic Avila Hot Springs is a famous destination on the Central Coast and has been bringing smiles to people’s faces for over 100 years! It was discovered in 1907 by unlucky oil drillers and established by the Budan family as a popular visitor-serving natural artesian mineral hot springs oasis. It lies at the gateway to Avila Beach and Port-San Luis Harbor in the Avila Valley. The Avila Hot Springs offers today's visitors; cabin camping, and dry tent camping, along with a heated pool & waterslides, hot thermal soaking pool, arcade, food with pool service and plenty of other fun activities and events. Tent Camping

Rustic, dry tent camping is offered at the rear park on a daily or weekly basis. Groups are welcome. During the spring and summer, seasonal lawn camping is offered at the front park.

Cabin Rentals

Camping doesn't have to be rough at the Hot Springs. These one bedroom & one bath wood-sided Cavco manufactured cabins include a kitchen, dining and living area, a queen bed and two single bunk beds, and it can sleep 1-4 friendly people.

Swimming Pool with Waterslides

Enjoy their fresh water 50’ x 100’ heated pool year round. The pool is heated to about 85 degrees and has a set of double waterslides. It’s outside and has plenty of chairs and places to sit.

Hot Mineral Soaking Pool

Enjoy a soak in their old-fashioned therapeutic hot mineral soaking pool. It’s approximately 2' deep and 104 degrees and draws its constant flow up from the natural artesian well beneath Avila Hot Springs.

Beach Crusier Bike Rentals

With the beginning of the Bob Jones Bike Trail just a stones throw away, the Avila Hot Springs in the perfect place to start your cycling adventure. Rent a few beach cruiser bikes and ride the trail all the way to downtown Avila Beach.

Hot Springs Massage

Massage is offered for singles or couples by appointment at Avila Hot Springs and includes a half hour soothing mineral pool soak before or after your massage.
