Central Coast Sailing Charters invites you to join us and experience the magic of sailing aboard the 44 ft S/V "SPIRIT" as we venture out for an unforgettable boat tour of Avila Beach and San Luis Bay. We specialize in family friendly sailing and boating adventures with experienced sea captains that are also well-rounded storytellers who will bring to life the rich history of the Avila Beach area. Our Captains are also experienced naturalists that love to share fun and interesting facts about the abundant wildlife that thrives in the pristine waters of San Luis Bay. Year round all of our tours enjoy encounters with Sea Otters, Harbor Seals, California Sea lions and a wide variety of seabirds.

The S/V 'SPIRIT" at 44 ft long is large enough to be very comfortable with padded seating for all and even an area where 3 to 4 people can stretch out and lay down while we explore the bay. She also boasts a full a bathroom and out at sea she provides an exceptionally smooth ride upon the waves that first time sailors and seasoned pros will both enjoy. Experience all that San Luis Bay has to offer from the jagged cliffs, sea caves, piers and Islands of the shoreline to the magnificent outer bay with its panoramic views and amazing wildlife. It is upon the waters of the outer bay, voyaging 2 to 4 miles from shore, where the air is fresh and clean and smells only of salt and the sea that the real magic of sailing is best appreciated. As a bonus for traveling this way we are usually the only boat around when we find Humpback Whales! For the past 5 years we have averaged seeing whales on 75% of our tours during the months of May through September.
