The hotel was designed to reflect Avila – small, refined, exclusive and full of beauty. Avila La Fonda Hotel is that kind of place…a sanctuary for just a few lucky souls.

For years we've dreamt of creating the best small hotel in California. The location had to be perfect and the property had to be special. Avila Beach is the only area on the Central Coast that combines the best weather, a south facing beach and an intimate town of just three hundred people.

The Avila La Fonda Hotel is full of beautiful art, tile work, fountains and a mural painted by one of the owners. Our library has books, DVDs, and CDs available to borrow. Guests can also enjoy our outdoor fireplace, wet bar, BBQ grills, beach gear and much more.

    All Guest Rooms and Suites are beautifully appointed & include:

  • Custom tiled bathrooms with Jacuzzi tub for two, separate shower area with three to six shower heads, oversized towels with towel warmers and soft, hooded bathrobes

  • Hospitality Bar includes refrigerator, bottles waters, microwave, popcorn
  • Gourmet kitchen with stainless steel appliances, granite countertops and Cuisinart coffee system loaded twice daily with Starbucks coffee
  • Luxurious linens – our beds are triple sheeted with 5000 thread count linens, feather bed covers, down pillows and large blankets
