Avila Beach is a great place for hiking, biking or just a leisurely stroll down the beach. The famous Bob Jones Trail leads people from the 101 freeway and follows the San Luis Creek through the Avila Valley to the Pacific Ocean. Looking for a bit of history? Take a docent lead hike to the Point San Luis Lighthouse. You will find bike racks all over town so many people bring their bikes from home. There is also a few places that will rent you bikes and other human powered vehicles for an hour, day or weekend.
